
As reported by T3.com, the new 40 GB PS3 will be released on Wednesday (October 10) with the pricing at £299 or at the same price of 120 GB XboX 360 Elite. This new version has 2 USB ports (instead of 4), SIXAXIS controller, and sadly it does not have backward compatibility.
As reported by timesonline.co.uk, Ray Maguire, head of PlayStation UK, said “We have a brand new 40GB machine that represents an excellent entry point into the world of High Definition games and movies, and we have the fully featured 60GB machine being offered with two next generation gaming experiences at a highly competitive price.”
