Seagate confirmed that its 1TB hard drive barracuda 7200.11 and Barracuda ES.2 will be released in 3rd quarter this year. The HDD coming with 4 platter (250GB each) and support 7,200 RPM, 32MB cache, and 8.5 millisecond read seek time. The 4 platter performance is considered to be lower than the 3 platters of Samsung SpinPoint F1. [via AVING]
