Acer is pushing harder into urban e-mobility with the Predator ES Storm Pro, an e-scooter aimed at riders who want more than a basic last-mile toy. Think longer commutes, rougher pavement, and the kind of stop-and-go traffic where smooth power delivery actually matters.
Built for mixed city terrain
The ES Storm Pro is built around a 48V system and a rear hub motor rated at 500W with up to 1200W peak output. In real-world terms, that usually translates to quicker launches at intersections and less drama on uneven streets, especially when you are carrying a backpack and regret.
Acer also includes multiple ride modes (Pedestrian, ECO, D, S), letting you pick between efficiency and a more responsive feel. It is the practical version of “sport mode” energy, minus the engine noise and neighborhood complaints.
Stability, braking, and weather realism
To keep things composed, the scooter pairs 10-inch tubeless pneumatic tires with front suspension and a rear double spring shock. That combination is meant to reduce chatter from broken asphalt and curb transitions, so the scooter feels less like a shopping cart with ambition.
For braking and traction, you get a front disc brake plus rear eABS, along with a traction control system (TCS) to help maintain grip when roads get wet or dusty. It is also rated IPX5 for water resistance, which is basically the minimum requirement for a device that exists outdoors where weather happens.
Lighting, safety touches, and tracking readiness
The Predator styling shows up in RGB lighting, but it is not just for vibes. The lighting package includes head, tail, brake, turning, ambient, and a projector light, helping with visibility and clearer signaling in traffic. More visibility is rarely a bad thing when cars are doing car things.
There is also a built-in holder for compatible smart tags, so riders can attach their preferred tracker ecosystem. It is not a guarantee against theft, but it is at least acknowledging reality.
App connectivity and daily usability
Through the Acer eMobility app, riders can view stats, battery info, and estimated remaining range, adjust certain settings, personalize lighting effects, and use an electronic lock function with a compatible smartphone. This is the modern baseline: if it moves, it gets an app.
Range is quoted as up to 65 km (region/testing dependent), and the scooter supports KERS regenerative braking to recover some energy during deceleration. In the real world, rider weight, speed mode, terrain, and temperature will decide how close you get to that number. In Europe, top speed varies by region (20–25 km/h), while the US version is listed up to 32 km/h. Acer says the Predator ES Storm Pro launches in EMEA in Q1 2026 starting at EUR 629, with regional pricing and availability varying.
