Segway Adds S2 Kids, C2 Go and C2 SE Scooters

Segway is expanding its children’s micromobility range with three new electric rides aimed at making early riding experiences more approachable. The lineup includes the S2 Kids self-balancing scooter, C2 Go electric scooter, and C2 SE electric scooter, each developed around controlled performance, intuitive operation, and features suited to younger riders.

Segway S2 Kids Introduces Self-Balancing Mobility

Designed for riders aged 8 to 12, the S2 Kids takes a different approach from a conventional kick-style electric scooter. Its smart self-balancing technology is intended to help young users become comfortable with controlling movement, while intelligent voice prompts provide additional guidance during the learning process.

The S2 Kids reaches a maximum speed of 8.7 mph and offers up to eight miles of range. Its 132-pound payload capacity is paired with a relatively compact 23.8-pound body. Beyond mobility, Segway has added RGB lighting, front and rear lights, an LED dashboard, and Bluetooth speakers, giving the model a more playful character without abandoning practical information displays.

C2 Go Focuses on First-Time Electric Scooter Riders

The C2 Go shifts toward a more familiar electric scooter format and is designed for children aged 6 to 10. With a maximum speed of 10 mph and range of up to 8.5 miles, its performance is deliberately restrained for younger riders. Multiple riding modes allow the scooter’s behavior to adapt as users develop greater balance and coordination.

At 17 pounds, the C2 Go is also the lightest of the three new products. A quick-folding structure makes it easier to transport or store, while seven-inch tires, a battery management system, and a durable frame address the less glamorous but important practical requirements of everyday family use.

C2 SE Adds Adjustability for Growing Riders

The C2 SE shares the 10 mph maximum speed and 8.5-mile range of the C2 Go, but introduces several differences in its physical design. Most notably, its three-level adjustable handlebar allows the riding position to change as a child grows, potentially extending the useful life of the scooter.

Other features include a built-in LED dashboard, squeeze-to-stop braking, 256-color RGB lighting, and a foldable frame that locks into itself for easier carrying. The C2 SE weighs 19.2 pounds and supports riders up to 121 pounds, placing it between the lighter C2 Go and heavier S2 Kids in overall portability.

Three Approaches to Kids’ Electric Mobility

Together, the three products show how children’s electric mobility is becoming more specialized rather than simply scaling down adult scooters. The S2 Kids emphasizes self-balancing interaction, the C2 Go provides an accessible entry into conventional electric scooters, and the C2 SE adds greater physical adjustability. All three also incorporate controlled performance and battery management systems as part of their child-focused design.

The S2 Kids is available for US pre-order at $449.99, with a limited-time $100 discount, while the C2 Go is scheduled for US availability from September 8 at $179.99. The C2 SE is already available exclusively through Sam’s Club for $199.98. With these three additions, Segway is broadening its kids electric mobility portfolio across different ages, riding styles, and levels of experience.
