Being used at the debut of Avatar at the ArcLight Cinemas in Hollywood, the XpanD X101 active 3D glasses is capable of accommodating a screen size of 32 x 86 feet and projecting digital 3D on a giant curved dome. Based upon the patented “pi-cell” system, the glasses delivering alternate right- and left-eye images with fast switching stereoscopic shutter action.
