VITURE Helix Turns Safety Eyewear Into XR AI

VITURE has introduced Helix, an AI safety glasses platform designed for serious work environments where hands-free guidance matters more than looking like a cyberpunk intern. Built on NVIDIA’s XR AI solution, VITURE Helix streams a wearer’s first-person view to a multimodal AI system in real time, bringing AI safety glasses into labs, factory floors, clinical spaces, and field operations.

Unlike typical XR glasses focused on entertainment or virtual screens, Helix is aimed at enterprise workflows that need live coaching, compliance support, and traceable documentation. The idea is simple but powerful: give workers a transparent safety-glasses form factor while letting AI observe, guide, and record procedures from the user’s actual point of view.

Safety Glasses With an AI Brain

Helix is built as a fully transparent, industrial-grade wearable, with ANSI Z87.1-2025 certification currently in progress. That matters because this is not just another pair of smart glasses pretending to be useful at work. The design targets environments where eye protection, visibility, and practical durability are essential, while the onboard camera and audio system turn the frame into a workflow assistant.

The glasses include a 12MP first-person camera, four microphones, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, and standalone operation without a companion phone. That standalone approach is important because industrial users usually do not want another fragile device dangling from their workflow like a bad decision with a charging port.

Powered by NVIDIA XR AI

The intelligence layer comes from NVIDIA’s XR AI solution, which gives Helix the ability to process real-world context through multimodal AI. In practical terms, the system can help coach operators through standard operating procedures, monitor task flow, and support full-provenance capture for organizations that need accurate records of how work was performed.

This makes Helix especially interesting for regulated or complex environments. Instead of relying only on written manuals, supervisors, or post-shift reports, teams can use real-time AI guidance while capturing what happened during each task. That could reduce training friction and improve consistency across repeated procedures, assuming the humans involved remember to charge the thing.

Built for Labs, Clinics, and Industrial Teams

VITURE says Helix has already been used in collaboration with NVIDIA, the Le Cong Lab at Stanford University, and the Mengdi Wang Lab at Princeton University. These early deployments focused on wet-lab, clinical, and life sciences research environments, where first-person documentation and step-by-step assistance can be genuinely useful.

The platform is also expanding toward pharmaceutical operations through Rana, opening the door for AI-supported workflows across broader healthcare and industrial settings. This is where enterprise XR starts looking less like a demo booth trick and more like a tool for procedures, compliance, and training at scale.

Why Helix Matters for Enterprise Wearables

Helix also marks VITURE’s deeper move from consumer XR glasses into AI-native enterprise hardware. The company already has a strong position in AR/XR display glasses, and Helix pushes that foundation into a more specialized category where safety, documentation, and operational intelligence all collide in one wearable frame.

VITURE expects Helix to begin shipping in Q1 2027, with pricing starting at $600 USD. Enterprise pilot allocations are invite-only, while individual reservations for the first production batch are already open. For VITURE, Helix is more than a new wearable; it is a signal that the next wave of XR hardware may be less about watching content and more about helping people work smarter without adding yet another screen to humanity’s growing pile of glowing rectangles.
