Announced a week ago, The third-generation Blu-ray Disc (BD) players, the BD-P2400 launched by Samsung. The new BD-P2400 aimed to bring theater-like experiences, thank to its full compatibility with 24 movie fps playback. As described in the press released, most movies are made at 24fps (frame per second) and BD-P2400 already supported. The BD-P2400 is also support 60 fps that suitable for high-end HDTVs. Along with the BD-P2400, Samsung also launched the BD-P1400 as the successor of BD-P1200 as well as BD-P1000.
The BD-P2400 will be available in October for $649, and the BD-P1400 will be available in September for $549. Both models boast the same specification except the “HQV video selectable up-conversion processing 720p/1080i/1080p” feature that only owned by BD-P2400.
