Together with Sony, AMC Entertainment to convert its 309 theatres circuit to Sony 4K digital cinema projections systems. With 4,628 screens, the installation mentioned as the largest adoption of 4K digital technology in North America. The project is expected to begin in Q2 2009 and continue across AMC’s North American theatre circuit through 2012.
