Sony Ericsson has new Android smartphone, the Xperia X8 aka ‘Shakira’. It’s smaller than Xperia X10 but bigger than Xperia 10 mini. Mentioned as an entry-level Android smartphone, the Xperia 8 powered by a 600 MHz CPU and running the old Android 1.6 OS. Other highlights: a 3″ HVGA (320 x 480) capacitive touchscreen, quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as dualband UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA at 900/2100 MHz, WiFi b/g, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, aGPS/GPS, 3.2 megapixel, and an FM RDS radio. Expected to hit the shelves in Q3-2010 for 219 Euro (without contract), the Xperia 8 will be offered in Dark Blue/White, Aqua Blue/White, Pink/White und Silver/White.
