TECNO has unveiled its latest smartphone lineup — the POVA 7 Series — and it’s making waves for more than just raw power. Designed with gamers, trendsetters, and everyday multitaskers in mind, this five-device series blends AI-driven smarts with bold design decisions and feature-rich hardware. While the brand positions it as a leap forward, the POVA 7 Series might be better understood as TECNO’s strongest attempt yet to define its own space in the crowded mid-range arena.

The new POVA 7 lineup doesn’t play it safe. The POVA Curve 5G, as its name suggests, introduces the brand’s first curved-edge screen in this series, adding an edge-to-edge visual experience that feels more flagship than budget.

A 6.78-inch 1.5K AMOLED display is standard on top models, with a 144Hz refresh rate and an eye-searing peak brightness of 4500 nits, promising a clear view whether you’re gaming under the sun or doomscrolling in bed. Paired with a futuristic interface powered by HiOS 15, users get full customization, neumorphic design, and even dynamic wallpapers for a personal touch.

Performance Focused, Cooling Optimized

At the heart of the POVA 7 Ultra 5G lies the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Ultimate processor, backed by an AnTuTu score over 1.53 million. TECNO claims this allows for 120FPS gameplay in titles like PUBG — and while that’s impressive on paper, real-world performance will vary depending on thermal control. Fortunately, a 12-layer Hyper Cooling System with a 5,300mm² vapor chamber is onboard to keep things from overheating.

Also notable: the battery setup. With a 6000mAh capacity, 70W wired charging, and 30W wireless fast charge, the phone seems well equipped to handle long sessions. The inclusion of 10W reverse charging also adds utility, turning your device into a makeshift power bank for accessories.
