HONOR Unveils Robot Phone and Magic V6 at MWC 2026

At MWC 2026 in Barcelona, HONOR showcased an ambitious expansion of its AI device ecosystem, revealing futuristic concepts and flagship hardware designed around its Augmented Human Intelligence (AHI) strategy. The company introduced the experimental Robot Phone concept alongside its next-generation foldable smartphone, the HONOR Magic V6, while also expanding its ecosystem with the MagicPad 4 tablet and MagicBook Pro 14 laptop. Together, these launches highlight HONOR’s growing focus on integrating intelligent hardware and software to build a more connected digital environment.

A Glimpse of the Future: Robot Phone and Embodied AI

The most intriguing preview from the event was the experimental Robot Phone, a concept device that explores the idea of embodied intelligence. Rather than being just another smartphone, the concept aims to integrate motion awareness and spatial perception into everyday mobile computing. HONOR envisions devices that not only process information but also interact physically with the world around them.

This concept aligns with the company’s broader Alpha Plan strategy, which revolves around three pillars: Alpha Phone, Alpha Store, and Alpha Lab. Together they represent HONOR’s roadmap for integrating artificial intelligence into hardware, services, and next-generation silicon technology. While the Robot Phone is still experimental, it hints at a future where smartphones could act as autonomous or semi-autonomous digital companions.

Magic V6 Sets a New Foldable Benchmark

The centerpiece of the launch was the HONOR Magic V6, the company’s latest flagship foldable device built to push the limits of both foldable engineering and battery innovation. With an ultra-thin profile measuring just 8.75 mm when folded, the Magic V6 is designed to balance durability with portability. It also carries IP68 and IP69 ratings, offering enhanced resistance against dust and water.

Inside the device is HONOR’s fifth-generation silicon-carbon battery technology developed in partnership with ATL. The battery integrates 25% silicon content and delivers an impressive 6,660mAh capacity while maintaining a slim form factor. The company also previewed its Silicon-carbon Blade Battery concept, which could enable future foldable devices to reach the 7000mAh capacity range.

Display Technology Built for Multitasking

The Magic V6 features a dual-screen setup consisting of a 6.52-inch outer display and a 7.95-inch inner foldable panel. Both displays use LTPO 2.0 technology with adaptive 1–120Hz refresh rates, ensuring smooth visuals while optimizing power consumption. Peak brightness levels reach up to 6,000 nits for HDR content, making the device suitable for outdoor viewing and media consumption.

HONOR also focused on improving durability and comfort. The inner screen uses ultra-thin flexible glass with SGS Minimized Crease Certification, reducing crease depth by 44 percent compared to the previous generation. Additional features like 4320Hz PWM dimming and AI Defocus Display help reduce eye strain during extended usage.

Expanding the AI Ecosystem

Beyond smartphones, HONOR expanded its ecosystem with two additional devices: the MagicPad 4 tablet and MagicBook Pro 14 laptop. The MagicPad 4 features a 12.3-inch 3K OLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 mobile platform. At just 4.8 mm thick, the tablet aims to deliver flagship performance while maintaining an ultra-slim profile.

The MagicBook Pro 14 complements the lineup with Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and a color-accurate 14.6-inch OLED display. Designed for productivity and creative workloads, the laptop emphasizes battery efficiency, lightweight portability, and intelligent performance management.

At the event, HONOR also revealed its first humanoid robot prototype, suggesting the company’s long-term ambition to expand AI devices beyond traditional electronics. Potential use cases include shopping assistance, workplace inspection, and personal companionship.

Altogether, these announcements reinforce how HONOR is building a broader AI-powered ecosystem that spans smartphones, tablets, laptops, and even robotics. The HONOR Magic V6 is expected to arrive in select markets in the second half of the year, while the MagicPad 4 will start at €699 depending on region and configuration.
