T3 reported that Blu-ray sales soar up to seven-fold, the reports was based on the record of Play.com’s selling after the death of HD-DVD.
“There was a seven fold increase in Blu-ray player sales, on that day alone.” said the Chief Operating Officer of Play.com. “People have been waiting a long time to move into the Hi-Def era and now they have the confidence that this is going to be the format.”
