Acer Refreshes Aspire Laptops and All-in-One PCs

Acer has expanded its mainstream PC lineup with three Aspire devices aimed at distinctly different users. The new range includes the Aspire G 3D 16 laptop for immersive visual workloads and the Aspire S 27 and Aspire S 24 all-in-one desktops for shared home computing. All three run Windows 11, but their hardware, form factors, and intended roles differ considerably.

The Aspire G 3D 16 is the more specialized machine. It combines high-performance AMD processing with glasses-free 3D technology, while the refreshed Aspire S desktops prioritize straightforward productivity, entertainment, and learning in a minimalist package.

Aspire G 3D 16 Turns Regular Content Into 3D

The Aspire G 3D 16 uses dual eye-tracking cameras to create a naked-eye 3D viewing experience. Its preinstalled SpatialLabs 3D Hub supports 3D playback and conversion of compatible 2D photos, videos, games, and visual material. This could be useful for designers reviewing models, creators presenting dimensional content, or gamers seeking stronger separation between foreground and background elements.

Its 16-inch IPS display has a 3840 x 2400 resolution in 2D mode and 1920 x 2400 resolution in 3D mode. The panel also offers a 120 Hz refresh rate, a 16:10 aspect ratio, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and 450-nit brightness. Those specifications make it suitable for color-focused work beyond its headline 3D capability, although the reduced horizontal resolution in 3D mode is worth noting.

AMD Hardware Handles Graphics Without a Discrete GPU

Processing comes from an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor paired with integrated Radeon 8060S graphics. Acer lists up to 126 overall TOPS of AI performance, up to 128 GB of LPDDR5X-8000 memory, and up to 2 TB of PCIe Gen 4 SSD storage. This integrated approach avoids the need for a separate graphics processor, though Acer has not supplied benchmark data showing how it compares with dedicated gaming GPUs.

The laptop also carries a 99.9 Wh battery and weighs 1.8 kg. Its port selection includes two USB4 Type-C ports, one USB 3.2 Type-A Gen 2 port, two USB 3.2 Type-A Gen 1 ports, HDMI 2.1, an SD 4.0 card reader, and an audio jack. Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 provide current-generation wireless connectivity.

Aspire S 27 and S 24 Focus on Shared Home Use

The Aspire S 27 and Aspire S 24 take a more conventional route. These all-in-one desktops integrate the computer and display into a slim white chassis, reducing desk clutter for families, students, and home-office users. Configurations extend up to an Intel Core 7 processor 350, 16 GB of single-channel LPDDR5 memory, and a 1 TB PCIe Gen 4 SSD.

The 27-inch model offers either a QHD panel at 120 Hz or an FHD panel at 144 Hz. The 23.8-inch Aspire S 24 is limited to the FHD 144 Hz option. Both have narrow bezels, a claimed 90% screen-to-body ratio, and optional touchscreens with stylus support. However, the listed 250-nit brightness and integrated Intel graphics position them primarily for everyday computing rather than demanding creative or gaming workloads.

Choosing Between Portable 3D and Desktop Simplicity

The Aspire G 3D 16 is aimed at users who need portable processing power, broad connectivity, and experimental 3D visualization. Its unusual display is the main differentiator, but buyers should consider whether their workflow or game library can make meaningful use of SpatialLabs features.

The Aspire S 27 provides more display space and an optional sharper QHD panel, while the Aspire S 24 is better suited to smaller desks. Both include an FHD webcam with a privacy shutter, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C data connectivity, and HDMI. Their tiltable stands provide five to 20 degrees of adjustment, although the USB-C port does not support video output or charging according to the supplied specifications.

Acer has not yet announced availability or pricing for the Aspire G 3D 16. The Aspire S series is scheduled to arrive in EMEA during the fourth quarter of 2026, with exact configurations, prices, and regional availability expected to vary by market.
