Holiday season is coming, and depend on how you celebrate the season, this holiday season will be different for gaming enthusiasts. Thanks to Nintendo with the upcoming Wii U console and GamePad. During the Nintendo All-Access Presentation at E3 2012 in LA, the company revealed a huge lineup of new video games for the most aniticipated game console and controller.
Let’s take a closer look at the hardware. Offering a new gaming experience with integrated second-screen, the Wii U GamePad comes with a 6.2-inch touch screen that delivers a new way in controlling video games. And in addition to the touch screen, the Wii U GamePad also includes dual analog sticks and traditional buttons for gaming and the ability to function as a TV remote.
“The GamePad doesn’t just introduce a new type of game play, it redefines an entire dynamic. With asymmetric game play, multiple experiences are possible in the same game at the same time. That’s transformative,” said Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime. “While games are the focus of this year’s E3, the Wii U story also includes the enhanced social connections and integrated entertainment experiences created by the GamePad. We’re providing a glimpse of that with the introduction of Miiverse and by revealing partnerships with some of the biggest content providers on the planet.”
As one of Mario’s big fans, I’m very interested in New Super Mario Bros that also leaps onto Wii U. The new game allows gamers to play as their Mii characters and also introduces new transformations for Mario and new Boost Mode that offers a fresh and new experience like never before.
