Genius, a Taiwan-based manufacturer, is back to us with three new portable speakers—the SP-i170, SP-i177, and SP-i300. Compatible with all popular mobile devices including smartphones, MP3 players, and tablets, the new speakers come in a variety of colors including pink, yes pink, I know you love pink. Featuring GeniusLink technology, which allows users to link together similar Genius speakers, these computer peripherals remind me to the X-mini. And as far as I concern, the X-Mini Capsule Speaker, which I got more than a year ago, has longer battery life that lasts up to 11 hours of nonstop music playing. In comparison, this SP-iXX series just offers up to 8 hours battery life. Available in U.S.A and Canada since end of 01/2011, the SP-i170, SP-i177, and SP-i300 priced at $24.9, $27.9, and $44.9 respectively. Product description from the manufacturer follow the break.
The SP-i170 is compact, sleek and sporty and offers a 360-degree sound field. Its GeniusLink feature, standard on all three models, allows you to connect to other similar Genius speakers. It comes in four stunning colors: polished black, white, pink and blue.
The SP-i177 offers an advanced, D-class amplifier and a bigger, 40mm driver for deep bass. Like all of Genius’ new speaker models, charging is quick and easy via USB connection, and the audio goes uninterrupted for up to eight full hours. It comes in bright yellow or sky blue.
The SP-i300 works as both a speaker and portable music player. It can connect to an electronic device for super sound, or users can simply plug in a USB device full of their favorite MP3/WMA tunes to play. Track access and volume can be easily adjusted from the unit itself. This model is available in piano black or chick yellow.
