Sony’s New 10.2 Megapixels A230 DSLR Camera

Unlike its brothers A330 & A380, the new A230 DSLR Camera doesn’t feature Quick AF Live View and its 2.7-inch LCD screen can not tilt up or down, but as a compromise it’s the cheapest one with pricing set at a mere $550 (one-lens kit). The A230 is mentioned as the world’s lightest DSLR featuring an APS-C sized image sensor and in-body image stabilisation.

“Our new alpha cameras, lenses and accessories make it easier for new users to get the great photos they expect without the steep learning curve that DSLRs have traditionally required,” said Kristen Elder, senior manager for the alpha business at Sony Electronics Inc. “By overcoming the obstacles, we’ve made it much easier for newcomers to take great pictures with DSLRs.”
