I bought my first D-SLR camera almost two years ago, the lucky camera was Nikon D5000. A year later I converted my camera into Infrared camera and I bought a new D-SLR camera, and my second D-SLR is Nikon D7000. I have three lenses, an 18-55mm zoom lens, a 50-200mm telephoto zoom lens, and a 35mm fixed lens. All of my lenses are Nikkor AF-S. I still have lengthy wish list, I want an ultra wide lens and a micro lens. And the Sigma’s new macro lens just remind me to my wish list.
The Sigma APO Macro 180mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM is mentioned as the world’s first 180mm macro lens with a magnification ratio of 1:1 and a F2.8.maximum aperture. The lens also features Sigma’s Optical Stabilizer (OS) technology, three “F” Low Dispersion (FLD) glass elements, Super Multi-Layer Coating, and Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM). Don’t ask me what they are, I’m not that geek.
This 180mm macro lens is not sure yet when it will come and what price it will be in shops. At CES 2012 in Vegas, Sigma also announced the launch two new lenses for Micro Four Thirds and E-mount mirrorless interchangeable lens camera systems.
