I know Ricoh as one of the companies that produces compact cameras, I know it since the analog era. And now the new era is coming with the introduction of its first video conferencing system – the Ricoh P3000. The new Ricoh Unified Communication System P3000 is a result of its partnership with Vidyo. Built on Vidyo platform, the P3000 offers HD multipoint video conferencing and allows users to share documents, photos and videos using a 3.5 lb portable room system.
Weighing only 1.6 kg (3.5 lbs), the portable P3000 comes with a built-in camera, microphone, speaker and wired/wireless LAN port. Users can begin communicating in 30 seconds by connecting the device to any video-output equipment, similar to a projector or other A/V equipment. The system is designed with a foldable camera “arm” that is quickly set up and easily adjusted and offers a user-friendly interface and control panel for simple operation. Users can access other users easily from a personalized contact list.
