3G and GPS Enabled iPhone Coming in Q1 of 2008

GPS capable iPhone

As reported by NaviGadget.com, Apple is planning to release new iPhone with 3g and GPS features in Q1 of 2008. This prediction is based on some facts: “Apple has tapped Broadcom’s Global Locate unit to supply assisted GPS chips for the phone, the chips able to pin point location based on combination of satellite and cellular antenna signals”. As mentioned by Steve Jobs during the announcement of UK iPhone, with the current technology, the 3G will cut the battery life as little as 2.5 hours. But as mentioned by him, technology is changing by seconds, who knows.
